As part of the CRC@25 celebration in Bhutan, Prime Minister Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay launched the State of the World’s Children (SOWC) digital report. The Prime Minister together with UNICEF Representative Shaheen Nilofer and Director General of National Commission for Women and Children Phintsho Chhoeden also launched a child-friendly booklet on the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) in English and Dzongkha languages.

Guests and visitors, young and old, wrote down messages on a canvas board about the different rights that children have and should enjoy. “Imagine…all our children – HAPPY!” was the Prime Minister’s message for the children of Bhutan. At the State of the World’s Children digital report launch and CRC@25 events in the capital Thimphu, children enjoyed expressing themselves artistically on canvas. Over 80 artworks done by children as part of the CRC Summer Art Camp in July were also exhibited during the day.
